Obituary for Naomi Ruth Douglass (Barker)
Naomi Ruth (Barker) Douglass, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on October 22, 2015. She was 61.
She was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to James Clarence Barker and Effie Pearl Farmer Barker.
Mrs. Douglass was the wife of the late Gilbert Douglass. She was the loving mother of Meagan Douglass and Tobias Wilson, Angela “Angie” Douglass and Markus Bradley, Alexa and Leroy Jones, Justin McLean, and Antwan McLean. She was the grandmother of Zion, Daisia, Kaiden, Carisma, Kamaury, Christian, Cameron, Mariah, Kaylee, Yori, Briyoni, Kayla, and Demetrius.
Mrs. Douglass was the sister of Harold Edward Barker, David Lee Barker, James Paul Barker, Blanche Virginia Stamper, and the late Helen Bernice Logan and Charlotte Ann Dowden.
Mrs. Douglass loved ice cream. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, and wanted what was best for them. She tried to get them to spend as much time together as possible.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 10AM until 12:00 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM. Pallbearers will be James Barker, Harold Barker, Justin McLean, Antwan McLean, Tobias Wilson and Leroy Jones. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
