Obituary for Edith Walter Hostetter

Edith Walter Hostetter, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on June 24, 2017. She was 97.
Mrs. Hostetter was born in Flat Ridge, Virginia to James G. Cline and Clemma Parks Cline. She was the devoted wife of the late George Walter and the late John J. Hostetter, Sr. She was the loving mother of George Walter and his wife Rosemarie, of Aberdeen, MD, and the late John Walter and Step-mother of Joseph Hostetter and his fiancé Cheryl Moore of St. Augustine, FL, John Hostetter of Aberdeen, MD, and Jane Gilman of Conowingo, MD. She was also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings and her step-son-in-law, Stephen Gilman.
Mrs. Hostetter was a member of Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, Young at Heart, and the Golden Age Club. She enjoyed winning at BINGO, Shuffleboard, cards and Skip-Bo. She was well loved by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, from 11 AM until 12 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral service will begin at 12 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Norman Obenshain will officiate. Interment will be held at Harmony Chapel Cemetery.
