Obituary for Kelly Marlene Anderson

Kelly Marlene Anderson, 43, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2016. Kelly was born in Havre de Grace on Mother’s Day, May 13, 1973. She was the precious daughter of Lynn and Thomas Stadterman of Aberdeen, MD. Her mother is struggling to understand why Kelly was taken so soon, unless there is a shortage of angels in Heaven.
It would be impossible to list the people who are grieving the loss of this beautiful, special person, but to name a few: Kelly was the loving mother of Kassandra Witt of Havre de Grace, MD, and Melanie and Michael Findeisen of Aberdeen, MD; dear sister of Wendy McDermott and her husband, Matthew, of Towson, MD; and devoted granddaughter of James Odom, Sr. of Churchville, MD, and the late Elender Odom. Kelly was the loving niece of James Odom, Jr., of Churchville, MD, and Marlene Bosak and her husband, James, of Navarre, FL. Kelly is also survived by her fiancé and best friend, John Pittam, of Havre de Grace, MD.
Kelly was a devoted member of Bay City Ministries in Havre de Grace, MD. She loved her church, and if the doors were open, she was there. She played beautiful hymns on her flute at every service and enjoyed the fellowship of church members. Kelly cherished spending time with her grandfather, “Poppy,” and other family and friends. She also enjoyed boating, fishing, walking the Havre de Grace Promenade, and going to the beach. Kelly was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart and was always thinking of others. If someone needed a helping hand, a hug, a home-cooked meal, housecleaning, you name it, Kelly pitched in. She was a class act. She made her life count. Kelly was the person we all aspire to be.
If you want to celebrate her special life, a viewing will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, from 2–4 and 6–8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016, at 12:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Roger Eastridge will officiate. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens, but she won’t really be there, because Kelly is already in Heaven.
Flowers are appreciated, but contributions may also be made in Kelly’s memory to Bay City Ministries, 106 Market Street, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Online condolences may be made to www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
