Obituary for Thomas Albert Staines Sr.

Thomas Albert Staines, Sr., of Edgewood, MD, passed away on April 29, 2016. He was 76. He was born in Lutherville, MD, to William Herbert Staines and Regina White Staines. He was the devoted husband of Kelly L. Staines for 28 years. Mr. Staines was the loving father of Mark D. Staines and his wife Teresa, of Reisterstown, MD, Bernice Ann Reavis and her husband Frank, of Jacksonville, FL, Gail Staines Barnes of Aberdeen, MD, Sharon Davis of Aberdeen, MD, Thomas Staines, Jr., and Tamitha of Rising Sun, MD, and Robert A. Staines of North East, MD and the late Melinda Staines. He was the adored grandfather of Justin Reavis, Brandon Staines and his wife Mindy Staines, Erika Stamation and her husband Anthony, Gina Davis Roach and her husband Brendan, Nichole Morris and her husband Thomas, Annabella Barnes, Ava Barnes, and Angel Stemple and her companion Marvin Wyatt, and Evelyn Mynk and her husband Jonathan, and Blair Vasquez, and great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Barbara Preist, Nancy Grice, Johnny Hamilton, Wesley Hamilton, Bobby Hamilton, Laura Hamilton and the late Helen Serrutto and Wallace Hamilton. Mr. Staines worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool. A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016, from 12-2 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM. Rev. James Wright will officiate. Contributions may be made in his memory to American Heart Association, P.O.
