Obituary for Catherine Donnelly Easter (Donnelly)
Catherine Donnelly Easter of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on October 12, 2015. She was 88.
Mrs. Easter was born in Philadelphia, PA, to James A. Donnelly and Delia Durkin Roddy. She was the wife of the late Donald Easter, loving mother of Robert Easter and his wife Julie of Garnett Valley, PA, and the late Richard Easter and Donna Lynn Mary Walker (her mother's long-time care-giver). She was the adored grandmother of Michael Walker, Jr., Jamie Warne and her husband Christopher, Kathryn Wales and her husband Jordan, Brian Easter and his wife Janet, John Easter, Richard Easter, Sean Easter and the late Erin Easter, and great-grandmother of Isabella, Ava, Michael, Joe and Eli Warne, Gregory and Sebastian Wales, and Declan and Ruby Easter. She was the dear sister of Thomas Donnelly and his wife Betty of Lancaster, PA, and the late Mary Guest. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Easter, and a son-in-law, Michael Walker, nieces, Della Sztukowski and Lizanne Hoopes, and cousins, Claire and Frannie McCarrick.
Mrs. Easter was active in the P.T.A. in Corpus Christi, and was always active in her church. She gave to several Catholic Charities. She enjoyed taking care of roses, and loved the beach, especially spending family vacations in Ocean City, NJ.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Attendees can greet the family between 10:00 – 10:30 AM, at the church. Internment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens. Father Dale Picarella will officiate.
Contributions may be made in her memory to Eternal Word Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL, 35210.
