Obituary for Irene Maria Burpeau
Irene Marie Burpeau, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014. She was 94.
She was born in New York, NY, to the late James Oscar Burpeau and Catherine Carney Burpeau. She was the dear sister of William Burpeau of Melbourne, FL, Madeline Colsey of North Salem, NY, and the late Joseph Oscar Burpeau, and Joan Clark.
Mrs. Burpeau received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Good Counsel College in White Plains, NY. She worked as an accountant at Edgewood Arsenal for 67 years. She was a member of the Young at Heart Club and enjoyed being with her friends there. She also enjoyed gardening.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will take place at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Online condolences may be made at www.zellmanfuneralhome.com.
