Obituary for Eldridge Harry "Rick" Young Jr.





Eldridge “Rick” Harry Young, Jr., of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on January 6, 2014. He was 56. He was born in Pigtown, to the late Eldridge Harry Young, Sr., and Dolores Blunt Young.
Rick was the devoted husband for 32 years to Susan M. Young. He was the loving father of Eldridge “Rocky” Harry Young, III of Crisfield, MD, Richard “Little Rick” G. Young, and his wife Megan of Darlington, MD, Heather Young and Krystle Young of Havre de Grace, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Nicholas Hawkins, Alexis Young, Eldridge “Bub” Harry Young, IV, Colby Young, Julia Young, and Gavin Lee. He was the brother of Melvin Smith, Helen Ware, Kenny Young, and John Young.

Mr. Young worked at Constar for over 20 years. He enjoyed playing pool, and played for the pool league at the Rendezvous. He also loved riding his motorcycle.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Tabor will officiate.
