Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mary Edwards can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Childhood Friend

Mary Frances and I met in third grade in Sackets Harbor, NY when her father was transferred to the Army post Madison Barracks in 1930. That means we have been friends for 83 years! Not only were we classmates in elementary school and high school, but we also attended New York State Teacher's College together. Mary Frances was one of two female attendants at my wedding in Albany, NY in 1943. That was 70 years ago this week! She and I kept in contact through traditional correspondence, then graduated to the computer writing emails. I was recently honored to provide Mary's family with a narrative about our younger days. My sincere condolences are being sent with this message.
