Joseph Carroll Spencer Jr. Dies of Alzheimer's

He was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1940, passed away September 15th 2013, at the VA Medical Center, in Perry Point, Maryland,at which he was for the last 8 years of his life.

He attended Sacred Heart Of Mary Shcool, Hampstead Hill Junior High School, and on to Poly High School, for boys. His dream was to be on submarines.

From 1958-1980, his dream had came true. He finished his career as MMCM (SS) E9 after serving on USS Sea Lion, USS Cobbier, USS John Adams, USS John Calhoun, & USS Stonewall Jackson.

From 1981-1996 worked at Northeast Utilities System.

He was the loving son of the late, Joseph C. Spencer Sr. and Agnes A. Strzegowski, Smith Spencer. He will always be the Love and Best Friend of his wife, Nancy G. Baldwin Spencer of 54 years. Proud father of Deborah Ann Spencer, Master Chief Joseph C. Spencer III and his daughter in law , BMCS Deborah J. Plower Spencer. Grandfather who's nickname was Bucko, to Melanie Rose Spencer & Brock Anthony Spencer. Pop, to Haley Spencer Graham.

Besides his wife, children, daughter in law, and grandchildren. He leaves his brother Daniel Spencer of Gales Ferry, Ct. and Dorothy Devlin of Glenn Rock, Pa. Carroll, also was the brother to the late sister Jane, who passed away as a baby. A brother to Glen Spencer, of Baltimore, Maryland. His sister Jane Kelly, named after baby Jane. Who lived in Rosedale, Maryland. Nephews, Danny Jr., Mark Spencer, Brian Spencer, Chris Devlin, and John Kelly.
