Editha Cardino Balacano, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was 69.
Ms. Balacano was born in Masbate, Philippines, to Sixto Balacano and Adelino Cardino Balacano. She was the loving mother of Rowena Jacobs and grandmother of Keith Jacobs Brown, of Havre de Grace, MD, and dear sister of Avelino Balacano of Pampanga, Philippines, Eduardo Balacano, Evelyn de la Cruz, and Lilia Agustin, of Bulacan, Philippines, Erlina Balacano of Bicol, Philippines, and Emma Balacano of Masbate, Philippines, and was predeceased by 7 siblings.
Ms. Balacano was a tailor for many years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She loved watching Lifetime Movies and Tagalog Movies and loved to cook.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 6-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at 10 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be held at Baker Cemetery. Father Dale Picarella will officiate.
