Condolence From: Patrick Hill
Condolence: I was just searching on the internet for my old friends today, 2 November 2018, and was unpleasantly surprised to see that Ron had passed away just a few days ago. I am so sorry. We worked together for many years at Aberdeen Proving Ground on helicopter programs. I am fortunate I have gotten to know Ron. He was easy going, smart, and a pleasure to work with. There are people alive today who likely would not be here except for the work of Ron and his colleagues. I remember them analyzing combat damage reports to determine where to optimally place component armor to protect helicopters from enemy fire. Later, they expanded the program by building a database of the causes and effects of combat wounds that was provided to Dr. Cowley's shock trauma research group at the University of Maryland. This was just a small sample of what Ron did during his career. I am glad I knew Ron.

Condolence: Mark, please know we are truly sorry for the loss of your father. Although we did not know him, he must have been a remarkable man and father. Because we both feel you are that type of a person as well. Hold on to the memories in your heart and you’ll always have him by your side. Love, Randy and Debbie

Condolence From: Charles E. Abel
Condolence: Dear Family of Ron, Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ron. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Ron in various roles at both BRL and AMSAA. He was always pleasant and professional in all of our work, often closing a dialog with his characteristic chuckle. We could always count Ron for his "one of a kind" sketches to commemorate a retirement or some other event. In fact, he presented me with one in Dec. 2005 upon my retirement. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. With our sincere sympathy, Charlie and Fran Abel.
