Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Samuel. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

I met Sam when I first moved to Havre de Grace, we used to sit and talk about records and jukeboxes for hours. I live up the hill from him and he would stop by many evenings and visit for hours. He was very knowledgeable about music and enjoyed sharing it! Rest in peace Sam, Rock on!! you are sorely missed! Prayers to your family!

I didn’t know Sam a long time but I considered him a friend. I met him playing cards in Perryville and he was always friendly and kind to me. I will miss him he reminded me so much of my own father. Playing cards won’t be the same without having Sam there. Rest In Peace Sir.

Dear June Ellie and Christopher,
My sincere condolences to you and your families. I was a classmate of Pat and a teacher for Christopher at Bakerfield Elementary in Aberdeen. Samuel was a unique individual who loved his family. We shared an uncle (Raymond) and aunt (Evelyn). May Sam rest in peace and be reunited with with the Carson and Shafer families.

Sam will truly be missed. One of the few record people I could relate to and one of Val’s favorite people! We will keep your family in our prayers. For some reason I have an image of Sam listening to music and smiling that big smile and desperately wanting to know that we all will be just fine!!!!!

Sincere condolences to Sam’s family and friends. Sam was one of the good ones. He always made me laugh. I’m sure he’s asking the big guy up there in heaven for a 1/2 game of poker. Wondering if he’s telling God to hurry up with the dealing as he often told me?! He will be very missed. R.I.P. Sam
