Obituary for Samuel James Carson

Samuel James Carson passed away on October 18,2018 in his home of Havre de Grace, Md. Born November 3, 1948 he was the son of James Samuel Carson and June Shafer Carson. He was the devoted father of Christopher Carson and his wife Dana Carson, adored grandfather of Julianna and Abigail Carson, dear brother of June Ellen Watts and her husband Ralph Watts. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Heyman. He is survived by an additional dear brother in law Charles Haymen, 1 niece Helen Heyman, and 2 nephews Jeffrey Heyman and Justin Watts. He was a proud high school graduate of Massanutten Military Academy in 1967. He worked for over 40 years in the mobile and modular home business spending much of that time working at Chesapeake Mobile Homes and retiring from Winters Run Home Sales in December 2017. He was an avid reader, especially Stephen King novels, record collector and fan of music notably the Doo-Wop era. Many were lucky enough to hear him broadcasting for several years on am radio sharing his vast knowledge of all music he loved. He was a quiet yet largely sentimental man chronicling pieces of his life and history of his family and friends. He was known well to many for his billiard talents spending much time in several pool tournaments in his younger years. He most enjoyed playing cards with his best buddy Bobby and enjoyed cherished time spent with his family and granddaughters. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 from 1-2pm at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, Md.
