Obituary for Helen Kathleen Farro (Grados)

Helen Kathleen Farro, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away surrounded by her family on April 9, 2018 at the age of 80.
Helen was born to George and Anna Grados and was raised in Fayette City, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of the late William F. Wilson and the late Gerald A. Farro. Helen was the loving mother of Lisa A. Trimble (Charles) and Joseph W. Wilson (Cyndi). She was proud of her blended family, to include children: Cynthia Leffler (Roger), Gerald M. Farro (Katie), Mark Farro, Joseph Farro (Renee), Jeffery Farro (Anna) and daughter-in-law Diane Farro. She was the grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Catherine Wilson and Mason Farro. She was survived by 4 siblings: Wilma, Joann, Christine, Georgette, and predeceased by Chuck.
Helen was the matriarch of her family; loving all of her families and friends. Helen had an infectious smile and her faith provided words of wisdom with support to everyone around her. She began her career teaching for Harford County public school system. She taught her family to live, laugh and love with all their hearts. She was a dedicated member and participant of St. John’s Episcopal Church, for over fifty years. She was willing to assist anyone who needed comfort and kind words. She enjoyed writing heart-felt special notes to her family in calligraphy, with a side of crab dip or cake. Helen’s generous heart has touched thousands of people and enhanced their travels through the journey of life. She will be dearly missed by all.
For those who would like to pay respects to the family, please join us on Friday, May 4, 2018 between 11am until 1pm, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 114 North Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Her memorial service will begin at 2pm, at the church.
