Obituary for Maria Anna Gallinat (Schierle)
Maria Anna Gallinat, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on August 10, 2017. She was 95.
Mrs. Gallinat was born in Ulm-Wiblingen Baden-Wuert, Germany, to Theodor Heinrich Schierle and Maria Magdalena Schabel Schierle. She was the devoted wife of the late John Gallinat, loving mother of Jutta Walker, of Aberdeen, Maryland, grandmother of Christopher Gallinat of Lancaster, PA, Eric Gallinat of Austin, TX, and Amber Trejo of Rockdale, TX, and great-grandmother of Vincent John Feitl. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thoedor Schielre, Johanna Keller, Margareta Eichin, and Hildegard Kuester.
Mrs. Gallinat formerly attended Aberdeen Senior Center where she played cards with friends and attended the Golden Age Club meetings. She also volunteered counting money from the lunches. She was also a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 10 AM, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Interment will be held at a later date at Harford Memorial Gardens.
Contributions may be made in her memory to Catholic Relief Services, 228 West Lexington Street, Baltimore, MD 21201-3443.
