Helen Janice Willan, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on July 24, 2017. She was 87.
Mrs. Willan was born in Aldino, MD, to Allen Rumsey and Anna Phillips Rumsey. She was the devoted wife of the late David Parkes Willan (2003), loving mother of Gary Willan and his wife Jean, and Darlene Roberts and her husband Carl of Havre de Grace, MD, Kenneth Willan and his wife Deborah of Aberdeen, MD, and Kimberly Donaldson and her husband John of Havre de Grace, MD. She was also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her sister Anne Clark of Darlington, MD, and was predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Along with raising her family, Mrs. Willan worked at Pitcock’s Hardware Store and Joseph’s Department Store in Havre de Grace, MD. She was a member of the Havre de Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering at Grace Place. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 7-9 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Havre de Grace United Methodist Church, 101 South Union Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Interment will be held at Angel Hill Cemetery.
