Frank William Liberatore, age 80, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017. He was at home, surrounded by family. Born February 18, 1937, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Lucy Liberatore.
Frank was a lifelong parishioner of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havre de grace, MD. He graduated from Havre de Grace High School prior to serving three years overseas in the Marine Corps. He was a 55 year member of IBEW Local 24 in Baltimore, MD. Frank enjoyed tending to his rose gardens, cooking spaghetti and meatballs for his local Elks Club and VFW, and following Orioles baseball. He also enjoyed woodworking, trains, and his daily crossword puzzle. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling with his wife.
Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Ann Liberatore of Havre de Grace, MD; son, Andrew W. Liberatore of Havre de grace, MD; grandson Anthony W. Liberatore and his wife Megan S. Liberatore, of Eatontown, NJ; granddaughter Jessie M. Liberatore-Maguire and her wife, Emily E. Liberatore-Maguire, of Palmyra, NJ; great-grandchildren William, Madeline, and Addison of Eatontown, NJ; and many nieces and nephews,
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters: Mary, Joseph, Arthur, Lewis, Ralph, Helen and Rosalie.
To celebrate Frank’s life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Dale Picarella at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Ave., Havre de Grace, MD. Visitation will be held Monday July 17, 2017 from 5 – 8:00 pm at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Burial will be in Mount Erin Cemetery. Active pallbearers are John Adams, Mark Deal, Thomas Gurrera, Mike Liberatore, Ralph Liberatore, and Butch Timmons. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Jobes and Bill Gross.
