Obituary for Elton Everett Warren

Retired Master Sgt. Elton Everett Warren, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on September 29, 2016 surrounded by family. He was 80.
Mr. Warren was born in Batavia, New York to Everett E. Warren and Louella E. Warren.
He was the devoted husband of Ann Campbell Warren of 59 years, loving father of Cathy Chavers and her husband Carsten of Havre de Grace, MD; Bonnie J. Warren of Havre de Grace, MD; Rick Warren and his wife Rochelle of New Market, MD; and Brent Warren and his wife Carol of Westminster, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Sarah, Mia, Ian, Jessica, and Ashley, and great-grandfather of Braden Weissner, Benjamin Taylor, and Finn Bosch. He was also survived by his extended family, Adele Cooper and Jeff, Bobbi & Lauren Caudill, his best friend, Thumper, a Blue & Gold Macaw and wonderful, loving, caring neighbors.
Mr. Warren retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He then owned and operated Warren Lock and Key for 36 years. He was a member of the Aberdeen American Legion and VFW. He was a huge supporter and fan of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Maryland Zoo, the Baltimore Aquarium, and the National Wildlife Foundation. He created amazing art furniture for the last 15 years with his daughter Bonnie. He was also an excellent woodworker, tailor, cook and mechanic. He enjoyed making clothing, upholstery and cars from parts for his family as well as feeding them gourmet foods.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 PM. Contributions may be made in his memory to Maryland Parrot Rescue: garudaaviary.org, Garuda Aviary, 18400 River Road, Poolesville, MD 20837.
