Georgia C. Downs of Aberdeen, MD passed away surrounded by the love of her family on January 23, 2016. She was 82. She was the devoted wife of the late Alan R. Downs.

Mrs. Downs was born in North Carolina to the late George and Mollie (Russell) Osborne. She was the loving mother of Jimmy Dobbs and his partner Robert Karikas, Diana Morris and the late Tony Atwood. She was the adored grandmother to Annelise and Andrea Morris and Crystal Gross. She was the great-grandmother to Chase and Tyler Gross.

Mrs. Downs had worked at the Bata Shoe Company and ServiceMaster before retiring. She was a member of the Young at Heart Club and the Red Hatters.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. at the Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. A funeral service will be immediately following at 1 P.M. Officiating will be Norma Fickens.

In Lieu of Flowers friends and family may make a donation in her memory to the Maryland SPCA, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Interment will be held at the Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
