Theodore “ Mr. Teddy” Richard Jones


Theodore “ Mr. Teddy” Richard Jones, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, passed away on June 15, 2011. He was 56.

He was born in Elkton, Maryland to the late Allen Cletis Jones and Norma Fay Reed Jones. He was the loving husband to Karen Fenner Jones of 12 ½ years. He was the step-father of Scott Fenner and his wife Ruth of Havre de Grace, MD, and Kerri Fenner Roman and her husband Michael of Abingdon, MD. He was the adored grandfather of Frankie Roman, Joseph Roman, Lindsey Fenner, Jesse Fenner, Franklin Fenner and Laura Beth Brown. He was also survived by his dog “Smarty Jones”. He was the dear brother of Thomas F. Bowman, Jr. and his wife Louisa of Havre de Grace, MD, Donna Lynn Wallace of Manchester, New Hampshire, and the late Howard “Wimpy” Jones.

He worked for Terumo Cardiovascular systems.

Teddy was a very patriotic and faithful member of the VFW Post 8126 Men’s Auxiliary. He enjoyed helping there; especially when posting the flags for holidays. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47 Son’s of the American Legion and the Havre de Grace Elk’s Lodge. He was a graduate of the Havre de Grace High School Class of 1972. He enjoyed traveling, especially his many trips to Cancun. He loved sports and was an avid Ravens, Terps and a Marshall University fan. He enjoyed watching sports in his Man Cave. He loved steamed crabs. He loved hanging out with his friends and family and will be missed by many.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2011, from 12:00PM-4:00PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM. Frank McFadden will officiate.
Ravens attire welcome… no black and gold allowed.
