Eugene Paul Vigna

Eugene Paul Vigna, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on March 30, 2013. He was 86.
Mr. Vigna was born in Havre de Grace, MD, to Eugene and Luigina Mazzuca Vigna.

He was the loving father of Jeannie Johnson and her husband Andy, of Port Deposit, MD, and Pattie Abbott of Indianapolis, IN. He was the adored grandfather of Randi Jean Allen, Taylor Johnson, Drew Johnson, Kerri Abbott Frost, Sean Abbott and Kevin Abbott, and great-grandfather of Levi Allen, Clay Frost and Mackenzie Frost. Mr. Vigna was predeceased by 5 siblings.

Mr. Vigna was a 1951 graduate of Washington College. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a Chief of Management of Information Systems Office at Aberdeen Proving Ground for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, VFW Post 8126, and the American Legion Post 47. He adored spending time with his family and the crew at McDonalds. He was a huge Frank Sinatra fan.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 South Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Sister Frances Schiminski, O.S.F., will officiate. Interment will be held at Mt. Erin Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
